She's Crafty!!!

Our most recent and very quick adventure: post-story time craft corner at the library! I am not sure how often they offer this, but have heard them talk about it at other story times and I believe it's on the monthly calendar.

Anyway! We are taking Sweet P. down to just one nap, so we hit the 930 storytime this week. When everyone else filed across the hall afterward to do a craft, I figured we had a few minutes to check it out. And when I saw it was a duck craft, I knew we had to stay! "Huh-wack!!!" (This is how Sweet P. quacks!)

We pulled up a seat at a small table - she sat there for at least 10 minutes - I was impressed! I kept her going with milk, snacks, and glue sticks (closed, of course!). I had to cut super fast, keep scissors out of her hands, and keep her from eating googly eyes, but we left with a delightful duck plate (with wings to he glued on at home).

This craft time was perfect for kids slightly older than P. We enjoyed it, and she could help me glue, but for kids working on cutting or coloring skills, this would be super fun! And I am sure activities range from ones that are even more appropriate for her age to some geared toward older kiddos. Just the same, really glad we tried it out!

California! Not cheap, or in town, but fun!

And the reason we haven't done much all around town, lately! Just getting back into the swing of things. More on CA and more all around town, to come!
